The Challenge:
To provide a luxurious venue space for up to 80 guests during November and December at a boutique hotel, restaurant, bar and gallery in Cookham Dean, Berkshire. The specific challenge was to erect the 12 x 15m marquee over a swimming pool, which was to remain partially exposed within the marquee for aesthetic reasons. It was also imperative that the swimming pool was fully servicable throughout the hire period.
The Solution:
We would normally recommend solid flooring within all of our marquees during the colder, damp months of the year, but of course a raised solid floor was imperative on this project, as the floor would be running directly over a swimming pool. Additional bespoke structural reinforcements were installed to ensure the stability of the overall marquee and safety of the guests within. Dedicated marquee heaters were deployed to ensure the comfort of the diners during the harshest of winter evenings.
The team at Tops Marquees thrive on bespoke projects of this nature and rise to the challenge on every occasion. This contract was no different. We were even able to install quick release floor boards enabling maintenance of the swimming pool pump and filter.
